Ford Super Duty Engine Specs

The 2022 Ford Super Duty is available with your choice of three high-powered V8 engines. Their specs are as follows:

  • 6.2L SOHC 2-Valve Flex Fuel V8 Engine — Generates up to 385 hp and 430 lb-ft of torque
  • 6.7L Power Stroke® V8 Turbo Diesel Engine — Generates up to 475 hp and 1050 lb-ft of torque
  • 7.3L 2V DEVCT NA PFI V8 — Generates up to 430 hp and 475 lb-ft of torque

When you choose the F-250 with the 6.2L V8 gas-powered engine, you’ll get a Torqshift® G 6-speed automatic transmission as standard. Equipped with SelectShift®, this transmission uses Progressive Range Select, as well as Full Manual. The Tow/Haul mode allows for safer and easier towing on Milwaukee roads by reducing the reliance on brake pressure to slow the Super Duty down. A TorqShift® 10-speed SelectShift Automatic® with Selectable Drive Modes is also available.

When it comes to sheer towing and hauling power, the Ford Super Duty is second to none. Here’s a quick overview of the 2022 Ford Super Duty towing capacity:

  • Maximum conventional towing capacity from 20,000 pounds (F-250) to 34,500 pounds (F-600)

  • Maximum payload capacity from 4,260 pounds (F-250) to 15,090 pounds (F-600)
