Complete Coolant System Service: One of the most commonly neglected maintenance procedures is commercial/fleet or towtruck coolant system service. Gallons of coolant circulate through the engine cooling system while it runs. Coolant usually contains chemicals with a life span of around two years, but you should check the product information for your specific type of coolant, as some products have a longer life span. In any case, a complete coolant system service is recommended periodically, to block possible rust and impurities build up. This build up could obstruct the cooling system, or prevent the coolant effectiveness, which might result in a collapse of your engine block during a severe freeze. The commercial/fleet or towtruck cooling system is vital to your vehicle's operation. If you neglect to check or service your cooling system regularly, failure in the cooling system can lead to damage of other vital commercial/fleet or towtruck systems, including severe truck engine damage. Complete commercial truck or wrecker coolant system service is not equal to simplt draining the radiator and refilling it. The cooling system includes a number of components besides the radiator. Therefore, at least half of the coolant would remain in the engine, along with half of the rust and impurities. A complete commercial or towtruck coolant system service involves first back-flushing the entire system then adding new coolant. It's dangerous to open the radiator while the commercial truck or wrecker engine is hot. Additionally, coolant is toxic and must be disposed of properly at a fluid-recycling center. The easiest and the safest way is to have Lynch Truck Center conduct the Complete Coolant System Service of your commercial/fleet or towtruck vehicle! Premium Fuel System Service Diesel and gasoline commercial/fleet or towtruck engines operate differently, therefore there are different service and maintenance practices that should be followed. The combustion process in commercial trucks or wreckers with gasoline engines occur at a constant volume and requires spark plugs to ignite the air/fuel mixture. The combustion process in commercial or towtrucks with diesel engines occurs at a constant pressure, and the air fuel mixture is burned by the heat caused by compression. The commercial/fleet or towtruck diesel engine operates at higher compression ratios than a gasoline engine, and burns low volatile fuels. Since the diesel fuel enters the combustion chamber near the end of the compression stroke, for commercial trucks or wreckers with diesel engines a fuel injection is required. Commercial or towtrucks with gasoline engines could have a carburetor system or injection system. Careful fuel system maintenance and service is a must for both gasoline and diesel engines, though the practices that are followed during commercial/fleet or towtruck fuel system service are quite different. Strict fuel system maintenance and service programs are extremely important for trucks and heavy duty vehicles with diesel engines. Diesel fuels that are utilized are less refined than gasoline, which can cause different problems:
Clearly, regular fuel system service for commercial trucks or wreckers with diesel engines is a necessity and the specified service intervals are usually shorter than for gasoline engines. If severe driving conditions such as short trips, long idle times and extreme engine loads are present, commercial or towtruck fuel system service intervals should be shortened, for both gasoline and diesel engines. Enjoy long and trouble-free utilization of commercial/fleet or towtrucks with both diesel and gasoline engines, provided proper fuel system service and maintenance practices are followed. Transmission Fluid Flush - Complete Exchange of Fluid Install Cleaner and Conditioner Package One of the most important maintenance procedures is a commercial/fleet or towtruck transmission fluid flush. Commercial or towtruck transmission fluid flash is a complete exchange of the transmission fluid and a complete flush of the cooler, torque converter, pump and lines. Professional transmission fluid flush helps stop fluid related shifting and shudder problems in commercial trucks and wreckers transmissions. Only high quality replacement fluid is used in our service cente, which is compatible with all commercial/fleet or towtruck transfusion materials and components, revitalizes transmission seals and o-rings, helps prevent leaks, and extends transmission fluid and transmission life. We exclusively use the highest level of quality MOC service products.
